Shannon Burton

President / Licensed General Contractor

Born and raised in an historic North Carolina town, Shannon began doing drafting work for his father at the young age of 16. His early experience quickly developed into an affinity for design and construction, particularly buildings with historical charm. Known for his laser focus on detail, Shannon is a licensed general contractor with a keen eye for every aspect of design. He produces hand-drawn conceptual renderings and closely monitors each phase of both our residential and commercial projects. Shannon’s background in finance is evident through his emphasis on a solid, well communicated spending plan, high standard for sub-contractors/vendors and conscientious, timely completion of projects. Whether your project is old or new construction, residential or commercial, you can trust its quality and craftsmanship is in good hands.

Anna Burton

Interior Designer

Anna Burton, the inspiration behind Bliss, is a born and bred Charlottean. After graduating from her alma mater in the Tennessee mountains where she met Shannon, her husband, the newlyweds felt the Queen City beckoning them to establish their home and raise their family. Nineteen years, three sons, two dogs and one joint business later, Anna is living a dream that began at an early age. Some of her earliest memories include being fascinated with the details of a home, the history behind each piece in that home, and the significance these elements brought to the space. What began as a hobby grew into an exciting business venture, initially as Bliss Interiors, and quickly expanded into Bliss Design Build. Anna and Shannon’s individual strengths join together to deliver clients with integrated, cohesive services at each phase of a project. Anna delights in taking a normal space and transforming it into a meaningful and personal haven reflecting each client's life and experiences.
